And they lived happily ever after isn’t that how stories are supposed to end?
I prefer the beginning of a book the anticipation of a good read to the end when I have finished and there is no more to read. I prefer beginnings to endings. Birth the beginning of life is a happy event as opposed to death the end of life. Weddings are happy events divorce the end of the marriage is a sad and angry experience. I received a letter from my attorney yesterday regarding my divorce the end of my marriage has been a long and slow process
All things have endings books end trips end days end and become nights. Some endings are happy ones others are not In just a few days my parents will have their forty-six wedding anniversary they are working on happily ever after.
This is my contribution for this weeks Sunday Scribblings

You've weaved very well "The End" into your current situation. When a door is closed, another opens. Do take care! Find the other door.
We should burn books that end with "happily ever after". No one should have to measure their life against a pattern of any kind.
best of luck during this time
Life has no "happily ever after".
The end IS a beginning.
Wish you luck.
Perhaps the "happily ever after" is not wise to measure one's life against. The new trend in romance (perhaps they're trying towards emotional realism ;-)is "happy for now."
Perhaps we must enjoy the here and now; just dwell on the good. Maybe the future will work itself out while we're busy enjoying whatever we can ;-)
Take care!

I'm sending speedy divorce vibes for a happy ending but really your new beginning.
I, too, am hopeful that you'll look at the ending of your marriage as the beginning of your happy life.
You like beginnings, this is your beginning. Write your story any way you want.
You have been through a dark time. Leave it and go for the 'new beginning'. All you have now is potential, new experiences, new things to do and be. Use your wings, now you can fly.
(been there)
Like what I said on my post, sometimes "the end" is actually just "a new beginning"... and yours will be a new chapter in your life.
I agree with liza, the end is a new beginning.
In terms of books, though I don't like a good book to end, once it does it means I can start another, hopefully equally as good
I think it's really about balance. You have to have endings in order to appreciate beginnings.
With books, though, if they're really good, I'm always disappointed when they end.
For me, it was "potentially, eventually, hopefully, at least a chance for happily ever after" . . . ;)
Hang in there.
It's so hard to tell where the end ends and the beginning begins. Good luck to you!
