How I entertain myself when I can't sleep

My sleeping pills quit working and I have been having insomnia worse than usual for the last couple weeks doing good to get three or four hours of sleep the night Tuesday it I didn't get any sleep again at 4 a.m. I got up to use the bathroom looked in the mirror and decided my hair was impossible and that I had to do something about it immediately groping in the dark so not wake anyone. I managed to find a pair of scissors. Not sharp, but still scissors and quickly gave myself a haircut. Then I went back to bed hoping in vain for couple hours sleep. That morning as soon as my sister-in-law was awake I begged to her to rescue me. I didn't leave her much to work with, but fortunately for me, she's good with the scissors its the shortest I've ever worn my hair a little bit of adjustment going from long hair to short short. But I think I'm liking it and even better, my doctor told me to take Clonazpam before I go to bed last night I had eight beautiful hours of sleep.

Succulent

Summer stillness
warm breezes
blue sky, fluffy clouds
juicy green oval
sweet fragrant juice
dripping down my chin

I've had several requests for information about working with Photoshop so I've written directions on how I added type to this picture here at the Inspired Pen

Brown Sugar

Washed my hair with brown sugar this morning what can I say... I know too weird. I mentioned to my sister-in-law that every time I washed my hair. I get a rash because I am allergic to soap. She told me about Curly Girl. Curly Girl avoids the use of soap because of the damage soap does to one's hair. The book has instructions and recipes for revitalizing one's hair and improving the curl. I'm throwing out my shampoo. My sister-in-law's advice is not only helping me with my allergy but also improving my hair. The brown sugar scrub worked wonders on my hair if you feel adventurous enough to try it use half brown sugar and half conditioner scrub your scalp thoroughly and rinse. The whole time I was washing my hair. I kept thinking about ants. I rinsed my hair extra careful. After you wash your hair with brown sugar my sister-in-law also sent me this link, maybe you'd like to try the Brown Sugar Vanilla Body Scrub recipe actually I haven't tried this one but it sounds interesting. I bet it smells good.

Pears

Oil Pastel on 140 pound rough watercolor paper

Study of Two Pears
1
Opusculum paedagogum.
The pears are not viols,
Nudes or bottles.
They resemble nothing else.

2.
They are yellow forms
Composed of curve
Bulging toward the base.
They are touched red.

3.
They are not flat surfaces
Having curved outlines.
They are round
Tapering toward the top.

4.
In the way they are modeled
There are bits of blue.
A hard dry leaf hangs
From the stem.

5.
The yellow glistens.
It glistens with various yellows,
Citrons, oranges and greens
Flowering over the skin.

6.
The shadows of the pears
Are blobs on the green cloth.
The pears are not seen
As the observer wills.--- Wallace Stevens
